Oven Temperature Conversion Calculator
Convert between conventional and fan/convection oven temperatures.
Automatic adjustment of 20°C or 25°F.
Converted Temperature
Convection (fan) ovens circulate hot air, so they cook more evenly and efficiently. As a result, you should reduce the temperature compared to a conventional oven.
Conversion rules:
Fan/Convection = Conventional - 20°CFan/Convection = Conventional - 25°F
Or in reverse:
Conventional = Fan/Convection + 20°CConventional = Fan/Convection + 25°F
Common conversions:
| Conventional | Fan/Convection | Gas Mark |
|---|---|---|
| 150°C / 300°F | 130°C / 275°F | 2 |
| 180°C / 350°F | 160°C / 325°F | 4 |
| 200°C / 400°F | 180°C / 375°F | 6 |
| 220°C / 425°F | 200°C / 400°F | 7 |
| 240°C / 475°F | 220°C / 450°F | 9 |
Tip: You may also need to reduce cooking time by about 10–15% with a convection oven.
