SuperGlobalCalculator (“SGC”, “we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website SuperGlobalCalculator.com.
This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our website.

The Short Version

Nothing you type into a calculator ever leaves your browser.
The math runs on your own device, so we do not store, transmit, or have any access to the values you enter.
The one thing you can deliberately send us is a message through the contact form, and there is a section below on exactly what happens to it.

Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not store calculator inputs or results on any server
We do not require user accounts or registration
We do not sell any data to third parties
We do not run a user database, or ask for your name or email address anywhere except the contact form, where both are optional
Calculator inputs are processed entirely in your browser using JavaScript

Information That May Be Collected

The Contact Form

The Contact page is the one place on this site where you deliberately hand us something.
If you use it, what you typed is emailed to us: your message, the subject category you picked, the page you were on, and your name, email address and the calculator name if you filled those in.
Name and email are optional. Leave them blank and the message still arrives, we just have no way to reply.

Delivery goes through Brevo, an outside email service, which handles the message in transit.
We use what you send to answer you and to fix what you reported, nothing else.
It is not added to a mailing list, not used for advertising, and not passed to anyone else.
Ask us to delete a message you sent and we will.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website (which pages are popular, how long visitors stay, etc.).

Google Analytics may collect:

Pages visited
Time spent on pages
Browser type and device
Approximate geographic location (country/city level)
Referral source (how you found us)

This data is anonymous and aggregated.
We cannot identify individual users.

You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

We display advertisements through Google AdSense.
Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ad Settings.

Cookies

SGC sets no cookies of its own. The only cookies on the site belong to the two Google services described above:

Google Analytics cookies, for anonymous usage statistics
Google AdSense cookies, for advertisement delivery

Your theme, your currency and your favorites are not cookies. They are kept in browser storage, which is a different mechanism and worth the distinction: a cookie rides along with every request your browser sends, while browser storage is never transmitted at all. The next section says what is in there.

Browser Storage

Two kinds, and the difference between them is how long they last.

localStorage, which stays until you clear it:

Your selected color theme
Your selected currency
Your favorited calculators
Your recently used calculators

sessionStorage, which your browser throws away when you close the tab:

The values you last typed into a calculator, so refreshing the page does not wipe your work

This data never leaves your browser.
We cannot see it, access it, or retrieve it.
You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

We run no user database, and nothing you type into a calculator reaches our servers.
The preferences the site does save, your theme, your currency, your favorites, sit in your own browser and never leave your device.
We can’t see them, access them, or retrieve them.
So for an ordinary visit there is nothing of yours for us to hold, hand over, or delete.

The exception is a message sent through the contact form. That one lands in our email inbox and stays there until we remove it.
If you have written to us and want it gone, tell us and it goes.
The rights below are worth knowing either way.

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gives you the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data a site holds about you, and to object to how it is processed.
For the analytics and advertising cookies described above, you can withdraw consent at any time through your browser settings or the opt-out links provided.

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion, and to opt out of its sale.
We do not sell personal information.

Children’s Privacy

Our website is not directed at children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Our calculators may link to external websites.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites.
