Turkey sizing is based on approximately 1–1.5 pounds of whole turkey per person (to account for bone weight and allow for leftovers).
Turkey Weight (lbs) = Guests × 1.25 lbs
Roasting times at 325°F (165°C) for an unstuffed turkey:

Tips:
- For generous leftovers, use 1.5 lbs per person
- Stuffed turkeys take 15–30 minutes longer
- Always use a meat thermometer — internal temp should reach 165°F (74°C)
- Allow 1 day per 4 lbs for refrigerator thawing
