Scholarship GPA Requirement Calculator
Calculate the GPA you need in remaining credits to reach your scholarship target GPA.
Plan your academic path.
Target GPA calculation determines what average grade you need in your remaining courses to achieve a desired cumulative GPA.
Current Quality Points = Current GPA × Credits Completed
Target Quality Points = Target GPA × (Credits Completed + Remaining Credits)
Required Quality Points = Target Quality Points - Current Quality Points
Required GPA = Required Quality Points / Remaining Credits
GPA scale reference (standard 4.0):
- A = 4.0
- A- = 3.7
- B+ = 3.3
- B = 3.0
- B- = 2.7
- C+ = 2.3
- C = 2.0
Note: If the required GPA exceeds 4.0, the target is mathematically impossible to achieve with the given remaining credits. You may need more credit hours or a revised target.
