Score Equivalent
TOEFL iBT and IELTS are the two most widely accepted English proficiency tests. The conversion is approximate, based on ETS (TOEFL maker) concordance data.

Key differences:
- TOEFL iBT is scored 0–120 (total of 4 sections, each 0–30)
- IELTS is scored 0–9 in half-band increments
- TOEFL is computer-based; IELTS offers paper and computer options
- TOEFL speaking is recorded; IELTS speaking is face-to-face
