Standard storage unit sizes:

Item size estimates (cubic feet):
- Bed (queen): 60–70 cu ft
- Sofa: 50–70 cu ft
- Dresser: 30–40 cu ft
- Dining table + 4 chairs: 40–50 cu ft
- Desk: 25–35 cu ft
- Boxes (medium): ~3 cu ft each
- Appliance (fridge, washer): 25–30 cu ft each
Tips:
- Stack boxes to maximize vertical space (units are 8–10 ft tall)
- Create an aisle in the middle for access to items in the back
- Climate-controlled units cost more but protect furniture, electronics, and documents
