Bias Tape
Bias tape is cut at 45 degrees to the fabric grain, giving it stretch for curves.
From a square of fabric:
Total Length = (Square Size²) / Strip Width
For example, a 36-inch square with 2-inch strips yields about 648 inches (18 yards/16.5 m) of bias tape.
