Watch band sizing is based on wrist circumference. The right fit should allow one finger between the strap and your wrist.
Wrist circumference to band size:

Watch case size by wrist:
- Under 6" wrist: 34–38mm case
- 6–7" wrist: 38–42mm case
- 7–7.5" wrist: 40–44mm case
- 7.5–8" wrist: 42–46mm case
- 8"+ wrist: 44–50mm case
Band width by case size:
- 34–38mm case: 18–20mm band
- 39–42mm case: 20–22mm band
- 43–46mm case: 22–24mm band
Apple Watch sizes:
- Small (41mm): Bands S/M (130–180mm) or M/L (160–210mm)
- Large (45mm): Bands S/M (140–190mm) or M/L (170–220mm)
