Find the right zipper length for skirts, dresses, pants, and jackets based on your measurements.
Recommended Zipper
Zipper length guidelines:
- Back dress zipper: Nape to waist + 1 inch (2.5 cm) = typically 20-22 inches (50-56 cm)
- Side skirt zipper: 7-9 inches (18-23 cm) standard
- Fly zipper (pants): 6-7 inches (15-18 cm) for women, 7-9 inches (18-23 cm) for men
- Jacket/coat front: Measure from neckline to hem
Rule: Always buy a zipper 1-2 inches (2.5-5 cm) longer than needed — you can shorten but not lengthen!
