FPS Calculator
Estimate your frames per second based on screen resolution and GPU benchmark score.
Find out if your hardware can handle your favorite games.
FPS (Frames Per Second) measures how many images your GPU renders each second. Higher FPS means smoother gameplay.
Estimated FPS = (GPU Benchmark Score × Base Factor) / Resolution Pixels
The calculator uses a simplified model where GPU benchmark score is scaled against the total number of pixels being rendered.
Resolution pixel counts:
- 1080p (1920×1080): 2,073,600 pixels
- 1440p (2560×1440): 3,686,400 pixels
- 4K (3840×2160): 8,294,400 pixels
FPS targets by use case:
- 30 FPS — Minimum playable for single-player games
- 60 FPS — Standard smooth gameplay
- 120+ FPS — Competitive gaming
- 144/240 FPS — High refresh rate monitors
Note: Actual FPS varies by game, settings, CPU, RAM, and drivers. This provides a rough estimate based on synthetic benchmarks.
