BPM = 60 / (average seconds between taps)
Common tempo ranges:
- Largo: 40–66 BPM (very slow, broad)
- Adagio: 66–76 BPM (slow, at ease)
- Andante: 76–108 BPM (walking pace)
- Moderato: 108–120 BPM (moderate)
- Allegro: 120–156 BPM (fast, lively)
- Vivace: 156–176 BPM (very fast)
- Presto: 176–200 BPM (extremely fast)
Tips:
- Tap at least 4–8 times for an accurate reading
- The calculator resets if you stop tapping for more than 3 seconds
- For best results, tap along with the kick drum or snare
Common genre BPMs:
- Hip-hop: 70–100 BPM
- Pop: 100–130 BPM
- House: 120–130 BPM
- Drum & Bass: 160–180 BPM
- Dubstep: 140 BPM (half-time feel)
