Child Height Predictor
Predict your child's adult height using the mid-parental height method based on mother and father heights.
Mid-Parental Height Method predicts adult height from parent heights:
For boys:
Predicted Height = (Mother's Height + Father's Height + 5 inches) / 2
For girls:
Predicted Height = (Mother's Height + Father's Height - 5 inches) / 2
Unit conversions:
- If using cm, the 5-inch adjustment becomes 13 cm
- 1 inch = 2.54 cm
Accuracy: This method predicts within ±2 inches (5 cm) for about 68% of children. Actual height depends on nutrition, health, and other genetic factors.
When using cm: The formula uses 13 cm instead of 5 inches.
