Bench Press Standards
Bench Press Strength Standards are based on body weight ratios derived from competitive powerlifting data.
Unit conversions:
- Pounds to kilograms: divide by 2.205
- Kilograms to pounds: multiply by 2.205
Male standards (multiplier of body weight):

| Novice | 0.75× | 3–6 months of training |
| Intermediate | 1.00× | 1–2 years of training |
| Advanced | 1.50× | 3–5+ years of serious training |
| Elite | 2.00× | Competitive powerlifter level |
Female standards (multiplier of body weight):
