Snowboard Size Calculator
Find the right snowboard length based on your height, weight, boot size, and riding style.
Recommended Board Length
Snowboard sizing is primarily based on weight, with height and riding style as secondary factors.
General rule: The board should reach between your chin and nose when standing upright.
Size by weight:
| Rider Weight | Board Length |
|---|---|
| 100–120 lbs (45–54 kg) | 138–144 cm |
| 120–150 lbs (54–68 kg) | 144–152 cm |
| 150–180 lbs (68–82 kg) | 152–159 cm |
| 180–200 lbs (82–91 kg) | 157–163 cm |
| 200–220 lbs (91–100 kg) | 160–167 cm |
| 220+ lbs (100+ kg) | 163+ cm |
Riding style adjustments:
- Freestyle/park: −2 to −4 cm (shorter = more maneuverable)
- All-mountain: Use recommended size
- Freeride/powder: +2 to +4 cm (longer = more float)
Width by boot size:
- US 8 or below: Standard width
- US 9–10.5: Mid-wide
- US 11+: Wide board required
Tips:
- Beginners should err on the shorter side for easier turns
- A board that is too long is harder to control than one slightly too short
- Boot overhang (toe drag) is a sign you need a wider board
