Cocktail scaling multiplies each ingredient by your serving count to batch drinks for parties.
Scaled Amount = Base Amount × Number of Servings
Classic cocktail ratios:
- Margarita: 2 oz tequila, 1 oz lime, 0.75 oz triple sec
- Old Fashioned: 2 oz bourbon, 0.25 oz simple syrup, 2 dashes bitters
- Daiquiri: 2 oz rum, 1 oz lime, 0.75 oz simple syrup
- Whiskey Sour: 2 oz whiskey, 0.75 oz lemon, 0.75 oz simple syrup
Batch conversion tips:
- 1 oz = 30 ml = 2 tablespoons
- 1 standard bottle (750ml) = 25 oz ≈ 12–16 cocktails
- 1 lime ≈ 1 oz juice | 1 lemon ≈ 1.5 oz juice
- For batched drinks, add ice dilution: ~0.5 oz water per serving
