Approximate formula: Calories = Steps × 0.04 × (Weight in lbs / 150)

More precisely, each step burns approximately:

  • 120 lb person: ~0.03 calories/step
  • 150 lb person: ~0.04 calories/step
  • 180 lb person: ~0.05 calories/step
  • 210 lb person: ~0.06 calories/step
